Introduction to Paint Your Own Pottery
May 28th, 2009

Are you new to pottery painting?

Our classes can teach you how to paint realistic and beautiful scenes on your piece of pottery.

For those who have never tried this activity, we offer tuition every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am-12.30pm. No need to book, just drop in, although if there is a group of you we will be happy to arrange an introductory session at a time to suit you! We will be happy to show you this straightforward technique, you don’t have to be ‘good at art’ to achieve really satisfying results.

Price per person per session is 12BD, which includes all tuition, studio time (including free tea/coffee), painting materials, 10” white ‘bisque’ dinner plate, glazing, firing and finishing your unique Masterpiece.

All our paints are non toxic, water based and washable. Your gleaming ceramic plate will be ready for collection 5 to 7 days after painting

– fully food-safe and dishwasher proof, and utterly usable!

Once you have completed this basic Introductory session you will be ready to come to the Studio when you want, and paint with confidence. Mornings are a good time to come if you want peace and quiet to experiment! Our prices depend on which piece you choose to paint, and start at 6BD including all materials, glazing, firing and finishing. If you want to try your hand at more complex pieces, designs or techniques we offer regular classes – just give us a call, or look into many of our special techniques courses available.
